Taking Possession!!!

Ro 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

2 Cor 2:14 ...God ALWAYS causes us to triumph, making manifest the Savior in every place.

God has destined us to live a victorious life. It is His desire that His children walk in triumph AT ALL TIMES.

Do not believe the lie of the devil that you are in a cycle... Victory today, defeat tomorrow, and then victory again, and so on…

We are not in a cycle of repeated defeat!!! We are in a journey in the path with the sign that says "ALWAYS TRIUMPH." We are in the winning side!! We are victors and not victims.

God wants us to be taking possession of what the devil has been trying to steal, kill and destroy in us. Take them back from the hand of the devil, one by one…

I. JESUS’ AUTHORITY
Mt 28:18 And Jesus came to them and said, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
√ There is no authority in heaven & on earth that is not under the authority of God.
√ Good and bad powers are all under His power.
√ There is no spirit that is not under the jurisdiction of God.
√ God has the authority and Lordship over all aspects of our lives.
√ We just need to position ourselves under the authority of God. It is the safest place that we could ever be.

Now, let’s look at ourselves in connection with that authority that Jesus has…

II. THE BELIEVER’S AUTHORITY
Mr 6:7 And he gave orders to the twelve, and sent them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits;
Lu 9:1 And getting the twelve together, he gave them power and authority over all evil spirits and over diseases, to make them well.
√ Jesus has given us the same authority that He has.
√ The authority that we have is not just for a few spirits, but it is over ALL evil spirits and diseases.
√ The spirits are subject to us!!!
√ We should not be afraid.
√ We should not believe the lies of the devil.

III. HOW TO EXERCISE OUR AUTHORITY
James 4:7-8 7 For this cause be ruled by God; but make war on the Evil One and he will be put to flight before you.
8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Make your hands clean, you evil-doers; put away deceit from your hearts, you false in mind.

1. V7 – Be ruled by God.
Submit yourself under the power, lordship & authority of God.
This is about living in submission and obedience to God. If there is anything that God wants us to stop, then, let’s stop it. If there is anything that God wants us to start, then, let’s start it. Let Him be the Lord over our lives.

2. V7 – Make war on the evil one and he will be put to flight.
Engage in the battle!!!
No one wins the battle by sitting down. We are sometimes trapped to participate in what the devil is doing, instead of fighting against him. EX: depression, fear, murmuring, etc.
We need to get up and engage the enemy. How do we engage the enemy? By binding & losing in Jesus’ name. In prayer, we can defeat every enemy of our soul.
The word of God promises that the evil will be put to flight. He has no choice but to flee once we fight! Every spirit is bound the moment we bind it.

3. V8 – Come near to God & He will come near to you.
This is the powerful weapon of intimacy. We need to be connected with God, for He is the Source of power by which we fight. We need to intentionally put ourselves under the authority of God. We need to know and be known by God. This is about the power of our daily devotions.

4. V8 – Make your hearts clean… put away deceit…
The power of holiness & purity in our lives. We need to keep our hearts pure and holy. If there is sin in our lives, we need to confess it to God and have it cleansed by God. Turn your back from anything that will cause defeat in your lives. We need to intentionally cleanse ourselves so we can fight against the enemy.

Eph 6:11 Take up God’s instruments of war, so that you may be able to keep your position against all the deceits of the Evil One.
12 For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against authorities and powers, against the world-rulers of this dark night, against the spirits of evil in the heavens.
13 For this reason take up all the arms of God, so that you may be able to be strong in the evil day, and, having done all, to keep your place.
14 Take your place, then, having your body clothed with the true word, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 Be ready with the good news of peace as shoes on your feet;
16 And most of all, using faith as a cover to keep off all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.
17 And take salvation for your head-dress and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 With prayers and deep desires, making requests at all times in the Spirit, and keeping watch, with strong purpose, in prayer for all the saints...

We need to take up our weapons and exercise our authority. We cannot win by doing nothing. We need to do our part and engage the enemy. We need to be offensive and defensive in our fight against the devil.

Engage the enemy… for God has given us the victory!!!

What has the devil been taking from you lately? Peace, joy, love, righteousness, confidence, money, loved one, your identity, etc...

It’s time to take your possession back!!!! Get up and pick a fight!!!

Giving Our Father The Glory

John 15:8 This is to My Father's glory, that you bear MUCH fruit,
showing yourselves to be My disciples.

Yes, every singing gives Him glory...
the dancing gives Him glory...
the shouting gives Him glory...
the laughing gives Him glory...
the weeping gives Him glory...

All these different forms...
yes, they give Him glory...

The Son Himself reveals to us what gives our Father the glory... It is when we bear fruit. Fruit that is not just temporary, but fruit that will remain. Fruit that is not just a few nor a single one, but MUCH fruit.

It is the increased and abundant fruit that we are able to bear that gives our Father the glory. We are not just destined for a few... we're destined for many.

Our destiny... MUCH FRUIT!

Let us bear MULTITUDES and give Him THE GLORY!

Daughter or Slave?

I was having my devotions last September 22 when the Father spoke to me of my identity in Him. He brought me to several verses that ministered to me, and He changed the way I look at myself and my disciples.

Romans 8:15 For you did not get the spirit of servants again to put you in fear, but the spirit of sons was given to you, by which we say, Abba, Father.
He has given us the privilege of calling Him anytime, and we should not be afraid of anything.

1Co 2:12 But we have not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which comes from God, so that we may have knowledge of the things which are freely given to us by God.
His Spirit helps us know everything that He freely gives to us. We need to know what is ours!

2Ti 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of self-control.
We should not be afraid of anything and anyone...

1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love: true love has no room for fear, because where fear is, there is pain; and he who is not free from fear is not complete in love.
For as long as we keep walking in that love-relationship with our Father, there will be no room for fear. Our love for Him and His love for us removes every shadow of fear.

My Father spoke to me that I am not a stranger to Him, neither am I a slave, but I am His daughter. He chose to give me all the rights of a legitimate child of God. Then, He showed me what a slave is and what a daughter is... When
I was writing these in my journal, I was crying as the love of the Father floods upon me like never before... Read on and let Daddy talk to you too...

A slave does not recognize the privilege of being placed in the ministry...WHILE...A daughter is always thankful and overwhelmingly broken to realize how privileged she is to be placed in her Father's ministry.
A slave feels that she works to increase the material goods of others and that she does not belong at the place where she works...WHILE...A daughter feels that she is at the same level as her Father and is able to grow in that freedom to enlarge the area of her conquest.
A slave does not feel complete freedom...WHILE... A daughter works and walks in complete freedom.
A slave's heart is vulnerable and may change any time...WHILE... A daughter is in covenant, and she is decided that nothing can change that.
A daughter works with JOY...WHILE... A slave does not because she feels that what she does is not for her own benefit but for others.
A slave always has this option of leaving ("i'm out of here attitude")...WHILE... A daughter is settled at where she is. And she will never change places. She will never trade her place for anything. John 8:35
A daughter accepts responsibility in the ministry...WHILE... A slave would always wish that she would be the last choice for ministry.
A slave is always fearful and insecure (afraid of losing her position)...WHILE... A daughter will always behave confidently. Daughters are confident and secure in who they are in the Lord.
A slave has no legal right for the inheritance...WHILE... A daughter has the legal right to the inheritance.
A daughter is confident in asking for inheritance...WHILE... A slave is doubtful about her inheritance and asks, "Will I get it? Am I fit for it?"

Romans 8:17And if we are children, we have a right to a part in the heritage; a part in the things of God, together with Christ; so that if we have a part in his pain, we will in the same way have a part in his glory.
Psalm 2:8 "Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession."
Romans 8:32 He who did not keep back his only Son, but gave him up for us all, will he not with him freely give us all things?"

The Father spoke to me... "My daughter, I have given you My ultimate [My only Son Jesus], will there still be anything that I cannot give you?"

Stop doubting yourself... Stop doubting our God.

Let our Father remove the guilt and shame of your past, so you can walk in the freeedom, confidence and intimacy of being a child of God (Isaiah 54:4). Let our Father bring you into His loving arms...

Now, I am not afraid... I am not ashamed...

I am confident, not because I can... bu
t because I am...

His daughter.

Speaking an Unfamiliar Language

We ministered recently to a church in Davao. My husband, Pastor Carlo, was invited to preach in their Sunday Service. His message is Building a Visionary Church. He ended his sermon by challenging those members who are willing to commit their lives to help build their church. A lot of people responded to the challenge and he asked me to help him minister to each one of them.

I had an experience of a lifetime.. When I was ministering to one of the ladies who stood for the challenge, I had a prayer in mind that I wanted to speak out. Surprisingly, when I started praying for her, I prayed in straight Bisaya (the local dialect in their province). I am not a speaker of Bisaya, except for a few words like greetings. But when I was ministering, I spoke in Bisaya. I could understand in Filipino what I was saying in Bisaya. It is indeed an amazing experience...

I realize that if God would need to twist our tongue a little so He can use us to minister to others, He can do it and will do it. And the glory goes to no man but to His name alone.

Now, I understand when He said, "do not be afraid of what you will speak to the people that I am sending you to, for I will be the One who will put the words to speak in your mouth." Indeed, He was the One who put the words that I spoke when we ministered to a Bisayan church in Davao. Amazing God! The glory is His alone...

Jars of Clay

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:7, NIV

Having the life of Christ in us is the greatest treasure we will every have in our lifetime. It's the treasure that will never be taken from us. And it will never fade...

This treasure, no matter how precious and incorruptible, is kept in a vessel that God Himself chose... jars of clay. The Lord showed me that our lives are like jars of clay -- so fragile, so delicate, vulnerable and requires high maintenance. Our lives are too delicate that it needs the very hand of God to be taken cared of. No one and nothing can take good care of us except the Potter Himself.

We do not have the power to take care of our lives, just as the jar of clay has no power to protect itself. We need the hand of the Potter to protect us, cover us and defend us; so that we will not fail to recognize that the power working in us is not of ourselves, but is from God.

So, why be anxious about taking care of your lives? The Potter says, 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your cares on Me, for I care for you..." Instead of worrying about our lives, let's give all our anxieties and concerns to our loving Potter... He will take care of every single thing that we place upon His hands. He specializes in handling the most delicate --- that's you and me.

Even the doorposts would tremble...

When Isaiah saw the Lord, the doorposts tremble, the whole temple was filled with smoke, and a voice was heard... "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty." That is the picture of the awesome presence of our holy God. In the book of Revelation, people from every tribe, tongue and nation can't help but bow down in the consuming presence of the Holy God. No one dare stand and stare in the presence of our Mighty God.

My God is a Holy God...

One of the things about the character of God that has been so real to me is His holiness. The Bible mentions so many things about God... that He is Love, Peace, Provider, Healer, Warrior, and many others. But when we look at His holiness, the Bible says that our God is not just a holy God, but He is a
holy, holy, holy God. It was never mentioned that He is love, love, love, neither is there a mention that He is peace, peace, peace... But when the Bible talks about His holiness, the word holy is mentioned 3x. In Isaiah 6:3 and Rev 4:8, God is described as the holy, holy, holy God.

His holiness is so important that such great emphasis is given to it by the Scriptures. God wants to be known as a holy, holy, holy God. God wants every man and woman to understand the depth of His holiness.

I love Him in His holiness...

His holiness teaches me to fear Him, not in the sense that I don't want to come to Him. But it is the holy fear that draws me even closer to Him. Fear that makes me want to stay in His presence forever, for it is the safest place that I can be. It is the fear that makes my heart cry: "I don't want to lose Him... I don't want to lose His presence... and I don't want Him to lose me in His presence..."

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It is the fear that gives me wisdom to know what is pleasing to Him and what is not. Fear that gives me the strength to be able to choose that which is pleasing to Him. Fear that enables me to refuse that which is not pleasing to Him. Fear that draws my heart to do whatever it is that will please Him.

His holiness teaches me to live my life pleasing Him every single day, with every single breath...

She is in the hospital!

Last week, she started to show some weakening. Then one day, to my surprise, she passed out. I tried to help her recover. She recovered a little.... Then, she passed out again... and would not recover. So, I had to bring her to the doctor. The doctor wanted her to stay in the hospital. She'll be in the hospital for two weeks or so. I'm gonna miss her a lot...

I'm talking about my ibook... I think the spanking that she has been receiving from my son has its damage built up. Or maybe she is just experiencing some signs of aging. Now, she has to go through some treatments, maybe some transplant also. The "doctor" is still trying to figure it out. Good thing, she is insured with Apple Care. Everything is taken cared of...

Will see her soon...
